At CES 2007, John DeVore will introduce a new loudspeaker to his Gibbon line, "The Nines."
The new speaker begins with the idea of the Gibbon Super 8, but adds to it an additional woofer in an attempt to control larger spaces or spaces that have serious bass problems.
Here we see a series of Nines prototypes in several states of life.
The main problem in developing the new speaker, John DeVore admitted, (as you can see by the various holes in the different cabinets) was determining how many additional woofers there'd be and where to place them.
The nearly-finished pair, second to last from the right, are not Nines. They're the first-ever Gibbon 8s! "It's fun to look at all the different generations," John said.
