Following its acquisition in 2003 by D&M Holdings (owners also of Maramtz, Denon, Boston Acoustics, Snell, and Escient), I wondered if the new owner would move the venerable company’s production offshore. Instead, D&M has invested in remodeling McIntosh’s Binghampton facility in upstate New York, which I visited earlier this week. The building’s new facade (still to be graced with a McIntosh logo) resembles the glass front panel of one of its receivers.
